10 CELEBRITIES WHO TIED KNOTS WITH SIMPLE PEOPLE

It is very common two see a celebrity marry another celebrity and when someone gets married to a simple human being it immediately catches attention. 4. PATRICK DEMPSEY

Famous Hollywood heart-throb Patrick Dempsey married to an ordinary hairdresser, whom he had met in 1994 in a salon where she was working. Before meeting Jillian Fink, Patrick was already married but got divorced in 2001 later to marry Jillian. Although she was a simple hairdresser when they met, later she became a popular make-up artist.

5. BILLIE JOE

The lead singer and guitarist of American punk/alternative rock band Green Day, Billie Joe met his wife during one of their concerts. Billie saw her in the crowd and asked her to go backstage after the concert and this is when their love story began. 6. MERYL STREEP

Meryl Streep, this name is known to a lot of you, as she is one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood. Usually, they say that marriages of famous people don’t last but this is not the case. Why Ycee And The Remaining Artistes Left Tinny Entertainment

Why Ycee And The Remaining Artistes Left Tinny Entertainment

Why Ycee And The Remaining Artistes Left Tinny Entertainment

Tinny Entertainment was undoubtedly one of the leading Record Labels in Nigeria with a handful of talented acts signed under it.
The label is owned by Mr Timilehin Arokodare popularly known as Small Tinny, the label housed amazing entertainers such as YceeBellaDapo TuburnaDamilare and few others.
Last Week the front liner of the label Ycee made it publicly known, via a tweet, that he is no longer signed to the music label, in response to a fan who asked if he was still with the label.
In truth, Ycee had terminated his contract with the label since September 2018, as well as, Bella, Dapo Tuburna and Damilare, who all terminated their contracts with the label, leaving Tinny Entertainment with no artiste to manage.
For over eighteen months, I was the label’s PR (and held the record of the longest served member of staff) I handled the label’s social media platforms, distribution and promotion of content; and trust me, in my almost two-year stay at the label, I lost count of how many staff members came and went.
There was an instance where the label’s CEO returned from the UK and sacked ten of his staff members, leaving only the gate man and myself. One other time, a new staff member was employed on Monday and was sacked on Friday.
Let’s say, Boss Tinny, as I always referred to him was a ruthless boss with high demand for excellence and little or no regard for his staff.
It’s no surprise at all that all his artistes up and terminated their contracts with him at the same time.
The artistes’ angst with the label had started long ago and only intensified in January 2018 during the Ycee Juice Concert in London.

Georgina Onuoha On Buhari Having A Second Term

Ycee and Bella had had issues with the label’s CEO while they were all in London; and as punishment, the management had abandoned the talents in the UK, leaving them with no means to take care of themselves or even return home.
I will not go into the details of how the talents were able to survive their stay in the UK.
The issue was later resolved but not too long afterwards, trouble brewed again in the camp when the label could no longer handle the management of her four artistes concurrently.
Not a day went by without a complaint from one of the artistes demanding the status of their career and their brand direction.
I remember this time when Dapo Tuburna, in indignation, sent an angry mail to the label’s CEO demanding to know the way forward as regarding his music career, while pointing out that the label was not holding up their own end of the contract; stating he funds his own distribution and promotion most of the time, despite having signed to a label as prominent as Tinny Entertainment.
Damilare on the other hand, never stopped complaining about how the label did not have time for him and how the distribution and promotion of his releases were not properly funded by the label. He was signed in 2017 and had only two singles and a video to show for it.
Established artistes often have a key-man clause in their contracts, which allows them to leave for another label if both parties, the label and the artiste, come to a mutual agreement to part ways.
I think, that was the case with Ycee. For upcoming artistes, dropping out may be better than being stuck in a contract with a corporation that cares more about the bottom line than having the conviction to stick with artistes, even if they do not see immediate returns.

Georgina Onuoha On Buhari Having A Second Term

Georgina Onuoha On Buhari Having A Second Term

Georgina Onuoha On Buhari Having A Second Term

Everything you need to live well
Nollywood actress turned nurse, Georgina Onuoha has taken to Instagram to disclose why President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t deserve a second term.
According to the screen star, affording the incumbent president a second term will be a betrayal of Nigeria’s justice, peace, equality and freedom.
To buttress her point, she shared a clip of the interactive media session President Buhari granted last week and wondered how any sane person will afford Buhari a vote or let alone a second term.
TheUS-based celebrity wrote on Instagram,
“This is truly sad .. that he doesn’t NO! And he is my president. That in a nation of almost 200 million people of different tribes that are intellectually gifted, these are the kind of men we in put in charge of the governance of our nation. I cry for my country. It is not enough to have PVC.. it is the notion that we have to pick one of the lesser evil speaks volume.
Bunch of uneducated, visionless and old cabals that have driven this nation into the gutters. How any sane person, will afford Buhari a vote or let alone a second term will be a betrayal of justice, peace, equality and freedom. A man who spent over 80 percent of his current administration in London receiving treatment! Yet he finds it hard to relinquish power. They are not the problem.. we the people are the problem. We are our own worst enemy. And until we emancipate ourselves from this mental slavery, we will keep rotating old cargos with zero vision for the most populous black nation on earth.
Nigeria we hail thee,
Our own dear native land,
Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In brotherhood we stand,
Nigerians all, are proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.
Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour’d,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.
O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.”

#BBNaija2019: Bambam reveals ‘secret’ of getting into Big Brother House

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Oluwabamike Olawunmi also known as Bambam has given prospective applicants some tips on how to make through the audition stage.
Recall John Ugbe, the Chief Executive Officer of Multichoice Nigeria, had announced details of the fourth edition of the popular reality TV show billed for this year as well as audition dates and venue.
Against that background, Bambam during an interview with Plus TV Africa yesterday, disclosed that applicants do not need to bribe anyone in cash, sex or kind to make it through the multiple audition stages.
She said:
“I didn’t know anybody, I didn’t have to sleep with anybody to get into the house.
“You just need to go there and be your original self. The psychologists that will audition you are only looking for something unique in you, so be you. Don’t try and impress by being somebody else or being whom you are not.
“Go prepared, have something you are working on, answer the questions being asked correctly, and just have faith,” she concluded.
