Manchester United hopeful of finally completing Wan-Bissaka transfer from Crystal Palace

Manchester United are hopeful of finally striking a deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka after further talks with Crystal Palace on Monday.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the United manager, is eager for the club to now push ahead with a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Solskjaer wanted the majority of United’s transfer business wrapped up by the time the first-team squad returns for pre-season training next Monday but Daniel James, the Wales winger signed from Swansea City for a projected £18 million, is the only arrival to date.
Yet plenty of United’s Premier League and European rivals are also having to bide their time this summer in what is proving a complex transfer market as clubs struggle to move on players in order to free up cash.
United hope to make Wan-Bissaka their second summer signing and made a third bid for the player over the weekend.
That offer still fell short of the £50m Palace are seeking for the defender but talks resumed in London on Monday between officials from the south London club and Matt Judge, United’s head of corporate development who handles transfer negotiations.
